Cleanliness
We hope the world becomes cleaner to shine brightly.
Aekyung urgently provided 1 billion won worth of daily necessities for local residents affected by large-scale forest fires in Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Samcheok, Gangwon-do. The support items are daily necessities worth 1 billion won, including laundry detergents, dental products, and droplet blocking masks necessary for daily life. After that, in November 22, an additional 50 million won was delivered to the Korean Red Cross to restore the ecosystem of forest fires on the east coast.

In November 2022, Aekyung held the '2022 Hope Package Donation Delivery Ceremony' for the underprivileged in Seoul together with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Social Welfare Council. Aekyung provided 3,000 sets of hope packages consisting of daily necessities such as detergent, shampoo, toothpaste, personal hygiene products, and cosmetics worth 1 billion won.

In March 2022, LABCCiN, Aekyung Industrial's hygiene brand, provided 26,000 units of 'Labccin hand sanitizer' to the 'Mapo Merchant Association'. As part of the 'CLEAN to PROTECT' campaign conducted by Labsin, the hand sanitizer support was conducted to support the self-employed and small business owners who are struggling amid the COVID-19 pandemic. '

In October of 2022, Aekyung Industrial donated sanitary napkins for teenagers from low-income and vulnerable groups to ‘Good Neighbors’, a global NGO specializing in children’s rights, on ‘Day of Menarche’. The sanitary napkins donated to Good Neighbors were delivered to teenagers who needed sanitary napkins.

In November 2022, on the occasion of ‘Braille Day’, a delivery ceremony was held to support ‘Braille Tags’ to ensure the safety of the visually impaired. The braille tags produced were delivered to the Korea Federation of the Blind and distributed to the blind nationwide.

Warm-hearted

In December of 2022, Aekyung held a ‘Briquette Sharing Event’ to spread the culture of sharing in Honeybee Village, Gwacheon City. Aekyung provided 10,933 briquettes for the underprivileged this year, and delivered 6,000 briquettes and 4,933 briquettes to neighbors in need in Gwacheon Bee Village and Hakik-dong, Incheon, respectively.

In December 2022, Aekyung Industrial provided 8.3 tons of kimchi for marginalized neighbors in the local community, such as low-income families and the disabled. The kimchi sharing event, which started in 2004 and celebrated its 19th this year, is held at the end of each year to deliver warm and beautiful sharing to neighbors in difficult environments in our society.

In April 2022, Aekyung’s hygiene brand ‘LABCCiN’ carried out the ‘LABCCiN, Color Hongdae’ campaign to deliver hand sanitizer to strengthen hygiene in the Hongdae area. The campaign was conducted by visiting regular restaurants, cafes, gyms, and hair shops in Hongdae, where Aekyung headquarters is located, and directly delivering LABCCiN hand sanitizers.

Aekyung held a "Love Hatter Campaign to Save Newborn Children" in which employees participated. This year, a total of 33 employees participated and completed a total of 84 hand-knitted hats. The hat-raising campaign is a project that has been underway for 12 years since 2010 as part of a campaign to save one life per person. The campaign to save newborns is a participatory donation activity that began with the aim of helping newborns die from hypothermia.

Aekyung has obtained re-certification as a "family-friendly company" from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. Aekyung is △ Operation of Childbirth and Child Support System △ Flexible Work System △ Executing family-friendly programs and using family care leave △ Family-friendly work culture received good reviews and re-certification of family-friendly companies. In particular, major indicators of family-friendly management showed above average, and the family-friendly workplace system and culture were evaluated as stable.

In May 2022, Aekyung launched ‘Jump Up! Step Up!’ program. Aekyung provided a total of KRW 45 million in vocational education expenses, housing expenses, and crisis support expenses for the economic independence of single mothers and single parents of teenagers, and also provided one-on-one mentoring to relieve mental stress and psychological stability of the participants.

In April of 2022, the Aekyung YouTube channel ‘uh TV’ released a video titled ‘We are going to work today’ and conducted a campaign to improve awareness of people with Disabled. In the video, barista staff working at ‘Café Fourteen’ operated by Aekyung appeared, showing the disabled barista staff working diligently and doing their best as members of society.

Last August, Aekyung held a 'Cheer Bundle Delivery Ceremony' for talented students in Mapo-gu with 'Mapo-gu' and 'People Sharing Hope' at the Mapo-gu Office. Aekyung delivered 300 sets of support packages worth about KRW 30 million to 300 low-income students who have talents in science, sports, music, etc. but are unable to realize their dreams due to economic circumstances.

In May of 2022, Aekyung held a “Book Donation Ceremony of Love” for local youth at a Jeongsan middle school located in Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. Aekyung delivered 1,000 books that teenagers should read for the students of Jeongsan Middle School at this delivery ceremony.

In July 2022, Aekyung held a delivery ceremony for the ‘Migratory Background Youth Scholarship Fund’ with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea. Aekyung delivered 92.5 million won in scholarships to a total of 37 high school students from multicultural and migrant background families at this delivery ceremony. Scholarships are paid an average of 2.5 million won per high school student, and are used for tuition and talent education for entering college.

Aekyung, a company of "love and respect," signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a project to support unmarried parents. Aekyung actively cooperated with support for healthy independence and stable child rearing of unmarried parents through the signing of the MOU.

In October 22, Aekyung obtained an excellent grade of ‘A’ in the ‘2022 ESG Evaluation’ conducted by KCGS. This is the achievement of obtaining Grade A for two consecutive years following 2021, and is in the top 15% of 772 companies participating in ESG evaluation.

In November 2022, Aekyung relaunched the naturalistic hair care brand ‘alpist’ as a ‘vegan personal care brand’ containing the cleanliness and beauty of the great nature of the Alps. Since alpist was first introduced as a naturalistic hair care brand in 2016, as consumer awareness of healthy skin care for not only the scalp but also the body has increased, the brand's meaning has been expanded and reestablished as a personal care brand containing natural ingredients.

In January 2023, Aekyung obtained the ‘Green Technology’ certification for its ‘environmentally friendly dishwashing detergent manufacturing technology’ and at the same time is creating green value by receiving the ‘Green Technology Product’ certification for its ‘LABCCin Kitchen Care Antibacterial Dishwashing Detergent’.

In April 2022, Aekyung Industrial Co., Ltd. held a campaign called ‘Ae Tan Da’, a carbon diet, in celebration of the ‘52nd Earth Day’. The campaign is an in-company campaign called ‘Digital Carbon Diet’ conducted by Aekyung’s executives and employees for the earth suffering from increased carbon emissions.

In November 2022, Aekyung held an event to take care of Chiseongcheon and Hudongcheon, which are streams in Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. The Chiseongcheon and Hudongcheon maintenance events are part of the ‘Chungcheongnam-do Ditch Maintenance Project’ jointly signed by Chungcheongnam-do, Aekyung, and the trench maintenance community. It was conducted with the aim of creating a water-friendly environment for Chiseongcheon and Hudongcheon in Cheongyang-gun, where Aekyung's factories and logistics service centers are located.
