To ensure that our products do not contain harmful substances, Aekyung R&D Center identifies and manages harmful substances in raw materials using advanced analytical equipment and tools. We also analyze hazardous substances in our products through specialized analytical institutions to ensure product safety.

Product Safety Assessment

As consumers' fear and mistrust of chemical products grows, we recognize developing safer products as our corporate responsibility and a way to build trust. We prioritize safety throughout the value chain from product planning, designing, manufacturing, sales, and consumer use. We also believe that safe products come from safe design, so we ensure that all products undergo a rigorous safety assurance process. That is why we conduct safety tests including skin irritation, sensitization, ocular mucosal irritation and oral toxicity at the R&D Center to ensure the safety of our products.

Alternatives to Animal Testing

In response to a growing awareness of animal welfare around the world, there is an increasing number of international regulations and conventions to banned the animal testing. In line with this trend, the development of test methods to replace animal testing has become an important issue in the industry. Aekyung Central R&D Center has established various alternative test methods to replace animal testing, including MTT assay, HET-CAM using fertilized eggs, PATCH test, sting test, and microbial test.
